Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. I went to the doctor Wednesday morning with what I thought was a UTI though I ve not had one before. After telling her my symptoms she took a quick culture urine test and suggested I might have a kidney stone instead. However, she was sending the culture out for further testing and I have not heard the results yet. I have had some discomfort, but not horribly so yet. However, I now appear to have a hemorrhoid as well. Is there any connection or is it a coincidence?
If you are having kidney stones which are small say 1 cm in size, they can be removed either by hydrotherapy or by lithotripsy.
However, larger stones are removed by surgery.
No correlation of kidney stones and hemorrhoids.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
